A drive shed or barn is exposed on all sides in the middle of open ground, with no neighbouring buildings breaking the wind and often no trees within a hundred metres. Fastening schedules that are generous on a house are the minimum out there.
The roof areas are also enormous compared to residential, which changes the eavestrough conversation entirely. A barn roof concentrates a remarkable volume of water into very few downspouts, and undersized trough on a building that size does not overflow gently.

How we work
Built for an Ontario winter
Everything we hang on the outside of a house has to survive roughly a hundred freeze-thaw cycles a year. That changes the details.
We look behind it first. On any tear-off we open a section and tell you what the wall is actually doing before quoting the whole job.
Room to move. Vinyl expands and contracts a long way between February and August. Fastened tight, it buckles and splits. We hang it.
Water gets out. House wrap lapped so it drains, flashing that sheds outward, kickouts where a roof meets a wall.
One trade, one edge. Siding, soffit, fascia and eavestrough all meet at the same line. Doing them together is how that line ends up straight.

Do you do barns and farm buildings?
Yes. Perth County is farm country and agricultural cladding is regular work for us - barns, drive sheds, shops and outbuildings.
Is agricultural cladding different from house siding?
The exposure is. A building standing alone in open ground takes wind from every direction with nothing breaking it, so fastening has to account for that. Roof areas are also far larger, which changes how the eavestrough has to be sized.
Can you work around a working farm or business?
